EOL Definitions

End-of-Life Process	A process that guides the final business operations associated with the product life cycle. The end-of-life process consists of a series of technical and business milestones and activities that, once completed, make a Product obsolete. Once obsolete, the Product is not sold, manufactured, improved, repaired, maintained, or supported.
General Availability (GA)	Product available to order and ship.
Withdrawn from Marketing	A formal notification period, which specifies the Withdrawn from Sales date, and provides a time during which the customer can plan for last time purchases and support, and/or transition to a replacement Product.
Withdrawn from Sales	The last date to order the Product through normal Hitachi Vantara point-of-sales mechanisms. After this date, the Product is no longer generally available.
End-of-Upgrade (EoU)	Last day to upgrade qualified components or to a new system.
End-of-Service-Life (EOSL)	The date on which Hitachi Vantara ceases to provide support services for a Product.

Please Note: For all products that are actively being sold (End-of-Service-Life date has not been announced), the total maintenance (or software support) should never extend beyond a five-year total support term. Hitachi Vantara’s max maintenance/software support term is five-years.

Hitachi Vantara realizes that our customers need to retain content information for long periods of time, perhaps decades. Content Platform is engineered to utilize industry-standard interfaces and solution hardware platform components sold by Hitachi Vantara. End-of-Support-Life Policy for Bundled Solutions

The EOSL date for a given instance of any of our bundled solutions (e.g. UCP, HCAP, HCP, HDI, HPP) is identical to the earliest-occurring EOSL date among its current hardware components. Please refer to the relevant component entries in this matrix.

Extended Life-Cycle Support
